1867 – 1919 · Beauty, Happiness & Success
Before she built an empire, Sarah Breedlove lost most of her hair to a scalp ailment. She didn't hide. She studied, experimented and created scalp-care products for Black women, trained women as Walker hair culturists, and became recorded as the first self-made woman millionaire in America.
To every woman who has ever hidden her hair: the woman who helped build our industry began by losing hers. Thinning, breakage, damage or doubt, your hair story is not over. Don't wait for the perfect moment. Let's give it a new start, together.
